OBJECTIVE
The overall objective of this module is to enable participants to better understand and master the contribution of entrepreneurship to innovation and disruptive strategies in new and established companies. Emphasis is put on the strategic and organisational contexts propitious to the development and implementation of these strategies.
COURSE CONTENT
Part 1: Entrepreneurship: Creativity, Rigor and Risk
This section of the module focuses on entrepreneurship from three different perspectives: entrepreneurship as the special collection of skills possessed by an entrepreneur; entrepreneurship as an analytical and managerial process; and, entrepreneurship as the sharing of risk and reward between the entrepreneur and his/her financiers.
Part 2: Innovation
The overall objectives of this section of the module are 1) to evaluate new product success; 2) to define and implement innovation strategies (product-process); and 3) to design the organisation in order to foster innovation.
Part 3: Disruptive Strategies
This section of the module focuses on why and how a company can change the rules of the game: how to implement a radically new strategy and create new business models?
