When an EDHEC graduate decides after 15 years of working for international giants that it's time to " go back to his roots " , what idea can he come up with to be able to put his international experience to good use ? The answer -Enivrance, which describes itself as the world's first designer food company, created in 2004 and growing stronger by the day. After designer clothes and designer furniture, this almost seems like a logical step...
To quote Edouard Malbois, founder of Enivrance, "Our job is Imaginary Foods, a new discipline linking the real world and the world of fantasy." and with designer dishes such as Earth Eggs (a crusty cereal-like shell that envelopes a creamy, vegetable inside) Sea Bread (a novel mixture of flour and seaweed) and even Green Chocolate with fennel and ginger, no one can deny that his chef's have found the art of tantalising the taste buds with futuristic foods!
Edouard Malbois career is an international journey through the USA, Asia and Africa and includes management of Tag Huer watches (LVMH) in for South East Asia, in Singapore from 1995 to 1999, when he was head-hunted by Coca Cola in 1999. After two yours of developing the African strategy of the group in Kenya, and a stint with Euro RSCG, the world's fifth-largest global advertising agency network, Malbois felt the need to set up his own business and in 2002, Enivrance was born.
Immediatly McCain, Sojasun, Cargill approached him for missions and he was offered 10 million euros for his company. But this time Malbois is sticking firmly where he is and flatly refuses to sell.
He's probably right, after all there are so many other fantasy-foods still to create...
