OBJECTIVES
The common aim of this module is to give students the opportunity to apply their existing knowledge and to develop new knowledge in the treatment of practical strategic assignments.
Two alternative streams are offered: consulting missions and entrepreneurship projects.
In both cases students will undertake advanced course work, the content of which will then be applied to a real-case challenge. This module will be held over the first two terms.
COURSE CONTENT
Stream 1: Consulting Mission
Students in groups of two or three will be charged with the analysing and proposing a detailed solution to a specific strategic challenge facing a real company. The company will usually in a high-technology sector. The problem to be addressed will be one of real importance to the company involved.
Stream 2: Entrepreneurship Project
Students will undertake a complete business-planning process based on an enterprise creation idea of their own, or within the context of the Challenge Jeunes Pousses (Young Seedlings Trophy) business-plan competition of the Telecom Valley professional association. The business-creation projects of the Challenge Jeunes Pousses competition are based on a technical innovation or on an innovative exploitation of an existing technology and undertaken in collaboration with engineering or science students from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis.
